VISITATION - Reflections on Luke 1:39-56

St. Theresa Catholic Church, Ashburn, VA, will host a book launch event and discussion on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 11:00am to noon in the Parish Center, Zelie room 3.

Beautiful color images of paintings, icons, and sculptures, combined with essays, poems, and reflections by Pope Francis, Caryll Houselander, Thomas Merton, Heather King, Tamara Nicholl-Smith, Karen May, Pat Gohn, Elizabeth Leon, Anne Miller, and others on the meeting between the Blessed Virgin Mary and her cousin, Saint Elizabeth.

“What a nice publication! In our times, there is a new appreciation that beauty plays in inviting people to a closer relationship with God, the Lord Jesus, and the Church. I believe [this] book reflects this new interest and will help many people.” —Very Reverend George E. Stuart, J.C.D., Episcopal Vicar for Canonical Services & Vice Chancellor, Archdiocese of Washington.

On the Via Crucis, Jesus stopped to speak to the women. Two thousand years later, He continues to do so.

Seventy-six beautiful color images from different churches accompany twenty-one reflections written by women, on the meaning of the Eighth Station and how Jesus greets them today.
